Description Social isolation can be cured through your time! One-on-one walking partners are here for you to consider for your own health and that of someone who needs you to journey with them. Located in Elmira where you have a choice of many walking paths, interesting neighbourhoods and places to explore. You would be venturing out to see and enjoy the sights in the community with an individual who also enjoys being outdoors. This is a way to volunteer and create a connection with someone in your community one hour a week.

Training / Work Condtions
Training Details: You will be provided with an orientation before you begin to volunteer Working Conditions: You will be outside on mild days and will need a good pair of walking shoes. You would be walking indoors on more inclement days at the local walking track. Accessibility: Wheelchair accessible entrance, Wheelchair accessible washroom, Support Newcomers Transportation: On a bus route

Time Commitment
Duration: 3 months or less Weekday - Daytime One day a week for an hour.
