Description The City of Waterloo is looking for adult volunteers who have an interest and/or experience with native pollinators and plants,educating youth and adults and event planning.
In this role you will:
-plan and deliver education and park stewardship activities for the community, relating to native pollinators
- participate in meetings held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on the first Thursday of every month, plus monthly event dates
- perform moderate physical activity, such as carrying display materials, walking, pushing, bending, digging and lifting up to 20 pounds during events. Volunteers must be age 18+ and preference will be given to those living, working or studying in the Kitchener-Waterloo area.

Training / Work Condtions
Training Details: To be provided by City Staff Working Conditions: Some moderate physical exertion may be required (ie. Carrying display materials, digging, lifting up to 20 pounds) Indoors for meetings and outdoors for events Transportation: On a bus route

Time Commitment
Duration: 1 year or more Weekday - Evening, Weekend - Daytime Evening organizational meetings at a City of Waterloo Facility or virtual, the first Thursday evening of the month 6pm to 8pm plus monthly event dates. Position is a one year term with possibility of renewal.
