   About the Position

Impact Statement
Help maintain an outdoor ice rink in a Waterloo neighbourhood.

Volunteers maintain the rinks by flooding and snow shoveling, caring for equipment, and keeping a watchful eye on the rinks.

Seeking General Ice Rink Volunteers for Outdoor Rinks, especially Haida Park and Bluestream Outdoor Rinks. A list of rink locations is found at

Position Qualifications

Ideal for: An Individual, A Group
Age: 16+ Physical Demand, Work Without Supervision

Training / Work Condtions

Training Details: Training provided.
Volunteers complete health and safety training
Working Conditions: Volunteers will be outdoors in the winter. Must be responsible, community-minded adults or teens (age 16+).

Time Commitment

Duration: 4 - 6 months
Weekday - Daytime, Weekday - Evening, Weekend - Daytime, Weekend - Evening, Anytime
Minimum requirement of 2 hours per week (day, evening or weekend). During winter months.
