   About the Position

Impact Statement
St. Mary's Hospital is known for it's excellent customer service provided by our volunteers. Be part of our amazing team who escorts patients to the appropriate destination. St. Mary's continuously receives positive feedback regarding this service and how valuable it is to our patients and their families.

Volunteers greet patients and visitors as they enter St. Mary's General Hospital and escort them to their desired location in the hospital. Volunteers also encourage the use of hand sanitizer as people enter the main doors. Volunteers must have excellent communication skills, great customer service skills, and must be reliable.

Position Qualifications

Ideal for: An Individual
Age: 16+ English Proficiency, Confidentiality, Physical Demand, Specialized Training, Work Without Supervision

Training / Work Condtions

Training Details: Volunteers will be provided with a General Hospital Orientation, hands on training, and additional training as offered.
Working Conditions: This volunteer role requires a lot of walking.
Accessibility: Wheelchair accessible entrance, Wheelchair accessible washroom, Designated accessible parking space, Support volunteers with special needs, Accessible work space

Time Commitment

Duration: 7 - 12 months
Weekday - Daytime
We are currently looking for volunteers to fill our 6:00am to 9:00am or 9:00am to noon shifts
