Impact Statement We support adults who want to upgrade their skills in reading, writing, numeracy, computer and workplace essential skills. The delivery of our services is possible through the dedicated collaborative work of our experienced staff and volunteers.

Description Our tutors help improve foundation literacy and essential skills needed to empower adults 19 & older to participate more in the community, get and keep a job, or upgrade their education. The focus is on reading, writing, numeracy, and computer skills. Training plans are goal focused around independence, training & education, and employment. Role Responsibilities •Maintain student confidentiality at all times •Follow TLG’s safety and privacy policies •Follow the individualized learner plan developed by the Program Coordinator •Develop and deliver customized lesson plans based on the learner plan and resources provided

Training / Work Condtions
Training Details: All volunteers will complete TLG online training All volunteers will complete Laubach Certification Workshop Due to Covid-19 this training will be delivered online in 2-3 sessions by invitation All volunteers available to deliver video conferencing will be trained on the Zoom platform after agreeing with TLG terms and conditions and by signing a Zoom User Agreement
Working Conditions: Warm, friendly environment with support from Program Coordinator or Group Instructor to help when needed. Flexible hours designed to meet the needs of the Tutor and student. Time Commitment
Duration: 7 - 12 months Anytime We request a minimum commitment of 2 to 3 hours per week. Please feel free to give more time if you have it!
