Volunteer Driver

Impact Statement Driver volunteers are caring people who provide rides in their vehicles to take Waterloo Home Support clients to their appointments or the second option is to drive clients to and from the lunch program at the Community Pavilion. Clients are older adults or adults with a disability.

Description Help Waterloo Home Support clients maintain their independence.
Seeking a friendly, adult volunteer with good communication skills, English language fluency and their own vehicle to drive clients to and from appointments in town minimum one half weekday per week between 8:30am and 4:30pm.
Must have: -reliable vehicle suitable to transporting clients -valid MTO class G driver's license for at least 4 years -clear driver's abstract -Age 21+ -clear police check for the vulnerable sector -pass all screening requirements
*Mileage costs are reimbursed.
If small group is looking to volunteer (ie. through an employer program) each volunteer must apply separately and complete all screening requirements.
