Impact Statement Assist Waterloo Home Support Clients maintain their independence by helping them with their grocery shopping.
|
|
Description Commitment of only 1.5-2 hours per week. Shopper Escort volunteers drive and assist older adults or an adult with a disability who would otherwise have difficulty shopping alone. Volunteers escort the client they are matched with during daytime, weekday hours.
This volunteer role requires good decision-making and communication skills, flexibility and patience.
Must have reliable, insured vehicle and pass screening requirements.
Must be age 21+ with a valid MTO G driver's license for a minimum 4 years.
Mileage is reimbursed.

Time Commitment
Duration: 7 - 12 months Weekday - Daytime Approximately 2 hours per week on a weekday between 9am and 4pm
