They (Volunteer Waterloo Region staff) also help me when, usually a couple times a year, I have to send off an email saying, 'I've got a new problem, something has come up and I have absolutely no idea where to begin with this!' And they are such a resource for that; either providing information that can be helpful themselves or directing to someone who can provide that information to help me solve that problem.

We've always appreciated having Volunteer Waterloo Region to lean on, to reach out as a colleague, to connect with many other colleagues. It's such a great support to look to for training, recruitment events...We are constantly sharing the organization as a resource for other volunteer managers who maybe aren't aware of the organization and what [VWR] offers. We also share it with Volunteers. Sometimes we don't have a position that fits what they're looking for; so we know that by handing them off to [VWR], they're going to kind of find the support and find somebody to walk them through finding the position that is a good fit for them."
